Step Into Spectrally Pure, Color-Matched Dichroic Filters
QSP's QUOLORMAX
Dichroic filters are utilized in architectural, concert, TV, theater and discotheque lighting. QSP's HS (High Saturation) and HT (High Temperature) series give you the flexibility to provide brilliant spectral purity at low or high wattage applications.
QSP's color separation filters are precisely matched to produce the sharpest color mixing available. OSP offers more than 24 stock colors as well as rapid custom color development services. All filters are vacuum deposited on heat resistant glass and available in standard sizes from 1" diameter to 6" x 6" squares and custom sizes up to 18" in diameter.
HS QUOLORMAX SERIES
The HSª series was designed for low average power applications where spectral content is more of a concern than extreme environmental conditions where the peak temperature does not exceed 200¡C.
HT QUOLORMAX SERIES
The HTª series was designed for high average power applications where spectral content is maintained under extreme environmental conditions where the peak temperature equals or exceeds 700°C.
Dichroics can be matched to any gel by converting the x and y chromaticity coordinates to dominant wavelength and saturation.
DOMINANT WAVELENGTH
Light through a dichroic filter mixes to produce a single color or dominant wavelength expressed in nanometers. Using the standard "E" light source, the color can be precisely defined.
SATURATION
Measuring in percent, the more saturated a filter the more intense the color. Dichroic filters can be designed to be more or less saturated, by allowing more or less colors to pass along with the dominant wavelength.
LUMINOUS TRANSMISSION
Using luminous transmission, the brightness of of different colored dichroic filters can be compared and reproduced with exacting tolerance.
